The North Face × Cecilie Bahnsen: A Fusion of Outdoor Performance and Feminine Couture
MARCH 20, 2025 → WORDS ADRIÁN GOMIS EXPÓSITO
The North Face and Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen have unveiled their first collaborative collection, seamlessly merging technical outdoor performance with a couture-inspired aesthetic.
First showcased during Bahnsen’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show, the collection reimagines classic The North Face pieces through a hyper-feminine and couture-inspired lens. Signature designs such as the Mountain Dress and sculptural iterations of the Mountain Jacket blend durability with elegance, while floral 3D appliqués and wave-like edges add a delicate touch to functional outerwear. The collection also introduces reimagined versions of the Basecamp Duffel and the Glenclyffe Boot, seamlessly integrating practicality with refined craftsmanship. Featuring a monochrome palette and innovative fabrics, the collection highlights a refined balance between adventure-ready apparel and contemporary fashion.

Accompanying the launch is a visually striking campaign featuring professional climbers and The North Face athletes, including Olympic silver medalist Brooke Raboutou and lead climbing champion Molly Thompson-Smith. Shot in the Fontainebleau climbing area near Paris, the campaign captures the synergy between strength and grace, reinforcing the collection’s theme of femininity in nature.
Available in select stores and online, The North Face × Cecilie Bahnsen collaboration redefines the boundaries between outdoor exploration and high fashion, making technical gear an integral part of everyday elegance.
