Perpetua

The detonating concept of this collection gets involved in the author’s grandmother life. A life where she was subjected to slavery as a main reason of survival. An employee in a Chupa Chups factory, just like another machine, she found herself with the need of working everyday, and so, she would get ahead with her life. A flirty woman, joyful and femenine wrapped like a single use caramel without personality at all. 

Everyday, looking for a motive to live, her only way of breaking free arrived, the marriage with her husband, thanks to that, she was able to leave the factory and dedicate to housekeeping. 

All this intense manifest has been treated trought silhouettes, fabrics and stylism. The target was to work with the point of view of the designer’s grandmother, the way she perceived Chupa Chups, a repression source and lost identity, creating in this way, a contrast with the joyful and colorful connotation, for what they are known. We present PERPETUA.
