NAQT VANE’s new EP ‘NAQT’
MARCH 29, 2023 → WORDS ADRIÁN GOMIS EXPÓSITO
Japanese music project NAQT VANE, composed by vocalist Harukaze, producer Hiroyuki SAWANO and art collective Classic 6, which aims to create an uplifting tailwind to guide those who have a challenging spirit, present their first digital EP named NAQT.
Six songs compose this incredible new EP, which includes the group’s four singles released to date: Chronic, Touch, Vane, and Break Free, adding two new songs: Odd One Out and Reminiscing.
The first one of them, Odd One Out, has the main concept of fighting spirits, depicting the struggle of becoming somebody, and the strength of willpower it can take to commit to the path ahead – a powerful song to inspire all of us who have to put up a fight. Meanwhile, Reminiscing is a ballad that dramatically expresses the deep affection we feel for the ones we love, and the fear of losing them.
Creative collective Classic 6 did an amazing job for the EP’s cover with a striking image of vocalist Harukaze clutching her own face as a mask, representing nakedness in the line of the EP’s name, which is pronounced like the word “naked” in German. The music video for Chronic has just been released, showing Harukaze singing while lounging atop a grand piano and Hiroyuki SAWANO standing at his synth, both accompanied by a pair of dancers that complete the perfect performance. NAQT VANE will also hold their first fan meeting, titled ‘Greetings from NAQT VANE’, where fans will be able to experience the first-ever live performance and talk session by Harukaze and Hiroyuki SAWANO together.
Keep an eye out for NAQT VANE’s official social media accounts where the latest information will be posted.
