côte&ciel × Hermansen Bike One
APRIL 25, 2022 → WORDS ADRIÁN GOMIS EXPÓSITO
Founded in Paris in 2008, the brand côte&ciel is known for creating conceptual and innovative products, mainly focusing on the design and production of bags through the exploration and transformation of volumes. Following one of its main beliefs that “creativity is not a one-way street,” they partner up with other brands and designers based on the expression of collaborative ideas and shared values. This has led them to collaborate with the award-winning Danish bicycle company Hermansen. Together, they present the one-of-a-kind côte&ciel Hermansen Bike One.
This incredible new bike is inspired by the color range used in the new VELO series of côte&ciel’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, featuring an eye-catching bright orange tone used in the bags, now translated into the bike’s frame paired with Hermansen's signature chrome-plated rear stays, cool grey battery and crank arms and orange anodized details, blending both brand’s design-driven personalities.
The bike’s asymmetric frame is compact, strong, and lightweight, and combined with the 20” wheels, it is highly maneuverable and offers an agile riding experience with a fresh new dressing perfect for urban adventures. What is more, the e-bike's compact size and low weight make it really convenient and the perfect means of transport as you can take it with you on the train, you can put it in your car, or take it up and down a flight of stairs.
The bags featured on the bike are a black ISARAU VELO crossbody with a special feature that allows the bag to be clipped onto the bike frame, and a brick-red SARU backpack improving, even more, the convenience of the bike to carry your stuff wherever you go.
“For côte&ciel, creative exploration and the constant drive to reinvent the status quo is at the heart of everything we do. As a brand, we will continue to stretch our creative muscles and universe beyond the realm we inhabit today, always in search of creating something to delight those that crave authentic design off the beaten tracks.”
All bikes will be made to order through hermansencph.com, ensuring your choice of being sustainable while exploring the city.
The côte&ciel Hermansen Bike One e-bike will be available to purchase on Hermansen Copenhagen’s official site for shipment within the EU only. You can also head down to côte&ciel’s newly opened Parisian concept space at Boon 9 Rue De Lesdiguières from March 1st to see the e-bike in all its glory and shop the SS22 collection, also available on coteetciel.com
