Avgvst Unveils ‘Eclipse’

AVGVST’s latest collection, Eclipse, translates the fleeting moment between light and shadow into wearable art. Designed in collaboration with fashion designer Isa Kauffman, the collection explores themes of distortion, duality, and alignment. Core pieces, from multi-surfaced rings and choker orbits to elliptical forms, refract light through hand-cut rock crystal, drawing inspiration from astronomy diagrams, parabolic geometry and celestial symmetry.
“Light is embodied in rock crystal, and shadow in sterling silver”, explains founder Natalia Bryantseva. “Some pieces even cast reflections across the skin, making light itself part of the jewellery.”
Each piece in Eclipse reflects AVGVST’s fascination with celestial mechanics and the fleeting interplay between light and shadow. Elliptical rings feature dual-layered surfaces that shift in tone as they catch the light, while choker orbits curve around the neck like miniature planetary alignments. The collection also introduces sculptural ear cuffs and stackable bands, designed to create subtle reflections that move with the wearer, transforming the jewellery into an extension of the body’s own motion.
At the heart of the collection lies AVGVST’s signature hand-cut rock crystal, used to refract and scatter light in unexpected ways. Paired with polished sterling silver and vermeil, the contrast between transparency and opacity echoes the natural tension of an eclipse itself. Some pieces reveal hidden depths beneath curved surfaces, while others allow light to escape through crystalline facets, creating jewellery that feels at once scientific and poetic, grounded and ethereal.
Founded in Russia in 2015, AVGVST has become synonymous with minimal, poetic design and a distinctive use of sterling silver, vermeil, and rock crystal, the brand’s signature material. Since relocating to Berlin in 2019, Bryantseva has shaped AVGVST into a fully independent European brand, expanding its creative vision while staying rooted in intimacy and wearability.
Kauffman’s influence introduced a more fashion-forward sensibility to Eclipse:
“Isa understands how an accessory creates an impression — how it lives in relation to clothing and the body”, says Bryantseva. “She encouraged us to design jewellery that not only shines on its own, but produces caustics on the skin.”
With Eclipse, AVGVST captures a moment of transformation, a delicate pause before the future. And the brand’s evolution continues:
Bryantseva teases the next collection, “It will be dedicated to the garden — not just its blooming, but the labour behind its growth.”
