TOMMY HILFIGER and FRGMT Reimagine American Prep Through a ’90s Lens
OCTOBER 15, 2026 → WORDS ADRIÁN GOMIS EXPÓSITO
Bringing New York’s street culture into conversation with Tokyo’s design sensibility, TOMMY HILFIGER and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s FRGMT unveil a limited-edition capsule that revisits the codes of American prep.
Rooted in the brand’s ’90s heyday, the collaboration draws on a decade when fashion, music and youth culture blurred traditional boundaries, transforming collegiate style into a defining streetwear language. Classic wardrobe staples take centre stage, from rugby shirts and button-downs to varsity jackets, chinos and field jackets, alongside archival sailing pieces and the signature duffel bag. FRGMT’s considered design meets TOMMY HILFIGER’s heritage through soft flannel checks, washed nylon and heavyweight cotton twill, while a light blue palette, thunderbolt graphics, polka dots and a reworked Tommy Flag bring a contemporary edge to familiar silhouettes.

The accompanying campaign takes these pieces back to the streets of New York, where uptown prep meets skate culture and spontaneous movement. For Fujiwara, whose creative vision has been shaped by punk, London’s underground scenes and New York hip-hop, the collection is an opportunity to reinterpret a style that resonated deeply with a generation of artists and musicians. It also continues TOMMY HILFIGER’s longstanding dialogue with the cultural communities that have shaped its identity, following collaborations with labels including Patta, Aries and CLOT. With FRGMT, the brand once again demonstrates that American prep is less about preserving tradition than allowing it to evolve, bringing together two creative perspectives in a collection that bridges heritage and contemporary streetwear.
The TOMMY HILFIGER x FRGMT 2026 collection is now available in select TOMMY HILFIGER stores and on tommy.com.
