What started as a small jewelry project between longtime friends Carlota Garcia and Marta Mercade has evolved into one of the most distinctive emerging names in independent fashion. Founded in 2018 while both were working in hospitality, MAIS X FRIDA began as a creative outlet, with handcrafted jewelry produced in collaboration with artisans in Bali. Almost a decade later, that initial experiment has grown into a global fashion and accessories brand spanning sculptural jewelry, expressive ready-to-wear and carefully crafted accessories, all tied together by a strong, instantly recognisable visual language.

At the heart of MAIS X FRIDA is an approach that feels increasingly relevant in a fashion landscape moving away from constant trend cycles. Rather than designing according to seasons or the traditional fashion calendar, Garcia and Mercade allow their collections to evolve intuitively, creating pieces designed to remain relevant long after their original release. There is something instinctive and personal about the brand: playful yet considered, sensual without being overly polished, and equally at home on a Mediterranean beach or in the city. It is this balance between craftsmanship, individuality and effortless wearability that has earned MAIS X FRIDA an international following and positioned it among the new generation of independent labels, proving that a strong point of view can be more powerful than following the trends.
