Reference Studios is set to return to Berlin Fashion Week with the sixth edition of INTERVENTION, its multidisciplinary platform curated by founder Mumi Haiati, running from July 2–5. Continuing its exploration of the space where fashion, contemporary art, and subculture intersect, this year’s programme unfolds across some of Berlin’s most influential cultural venues. The edition opens with Partie Deux at Galerie OM, an exhibition of collectible design objects examining memory, ritual, and shared visual languages, before moving to Schinkel Pavillon for MUSEUM EBAY ARCHETYPES, an immersive installation curated by Shayne Oliver. Developed in collaboration with eBay, the project transforms the Hood By Air founder’s personal archive into a living exhibition, bringing together archival garments and deadstock materials to reflect on fashion's evolving relationship with identity, memory, and circulation.
The programme culminates on July 5 with a full day of runway presentations at the historic Kronprinzenpalais, featuring Berlin’s Dagger, Copenhagen-based Martin Quad, Tokyo label John Lawrence Sullivan by Arashi Yanagawa, and a special anniversary presentation by GmbH, celebrating ten years since its founding by Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Işık. Live musical interludes by Berlin multi-instrumentalist Braths will accompany the shows, reinforcing INTERVENTION’s commitment to cross-disciplinary cultural exchange. The event also marks the beginning of an expanded international programme for Reference Studios, with future editions scheduled to take place in Paris and the Rhine-Ruhr region later this year.
