Einhundert: Code Switch
OCTOBER 16, 2025 → WORDS ADRIÁN GOMIS EXPÓSITO
This October, Berlin celebrates a decade of Einhundert, the boundary-pushing label and collective founded by transdisciplinary artist, DJ, and curator Nico Adomako. For ten years, Adomako has been a vital force in shaping an inclusive, globally minded approach to club culture, bridging creative scenes from Berlin to Accra, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. His work, spanning music, curation, and community-building, challenges the elitism often embedded in cultural spaces, inviting broader participation and experimentation. Through platforms like Oroko Radio and countless collaborations under the Einhundert umbrella, Adomako has redefined what it means to build sound-based communities: fluid, borderless, and socially engaged.
This week, from October 17-19, Adomako and Einhundert present CODE.SWITCH, a three-day takeover at Adidas Sports Base Berlin in Kreuzberg. With a stellar lineup including Lechuga Zafiro, Toumba, SUUTOO, Dis Fig, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Scratcha DVA feat. DARKMANZULU, and a rare performance by Primitive Art, the program expands beyond music into talks, workshops, and installations. Built around the thematic triad of sound, silence, and movement, CODE.SWITCH examines how club culture adapts, resists, and regenerates within shifting social and political contexts. In Adomako’s hands, code-switching becomes both a method and metaphor, an invitation to move between worlds, to listen differently, and to reimagine the language of gathering in a changing Berlin.
Attendance for CODE.SWITCH is open via individual day sign-ups through Resident Advisor.
